What you'll need to get an accurate quote

You can send the form with just the basics, and we will follow up for anything missing. But the more of the following you have to hand, the closer the first number you see will be to the price you actually pay — most of the gap between a quick estimate and a real quote comes down to details that only surface during underwriting.

For auto insurance

  • Driver's licence number and date of birth for every driver in the household
  • Year, make and model of each vehicle — or the VIN, which is more accurate
  • The address where the vehicle is parked overnight (the garaging address, which is not always your mailing address)
  • Roughly how many miles you drive a year, and whether the car is used for work, delivery or rideshare
  • Your current declarations page, if you already carry insurance
  • Lienholder or leasing company details if the vehicle is financed or leased

For home, renters or flood insurance

  • Property address, year built and approximate square footage
  • Roof age and material — this drives a great deal of Florida property pricing
  • Construction type (masonry, frame) and any recent updates to roof, wiring or plumbing
  • Mortgage company details, if the property is financed
  • Any claims filed on the property in recent years

For business or commercial auto insurance

  • Legal entity name and a plain description of what the business actually does day to day
  • Estimated annual revenue and payroll, and the number of employees
  • Vehicles, their weight class, and who drives them
  • Any certificate of insurance requirements a client, landlord or lender has given you in writing

If you already have coverage, your declarations page is the single most useful document you can give us. It lists your limits, deductibles and endorsements, which is what makes a genuine comparison possible. Without it, two quotes can look hundreds of dollars apart while actually covering very different things.

What happens after you submit

  1. A licensed agent reads what you sent and checks it against the coverage you asked about.
  2. We contact you with any follow-up questions — usually the details that change pricing, like roof age or garaging address.
  3. We compare the options available to you and explain what differs between them: limits, deductibles, exclusions, and what a claim would look like in practice.
  4. You decide. Nothing is bound until you say so and make a payment.

Depending on your eligibility and the type of coverage you need, we can compare available options from multiple insurance carriers. We would rather spend an extra fifteen minutes explaining a deductible now than have you discover a gap at claim time.

What Florida requires, and why we ask about limits

Florida's minimum requirements are lower than most drivers assume, which is the main reason we ask about limits rather than simply quoting the legal floor. To register a private passenger vehicle the state requires $10,000 of Personal Injury Protection (Fla. Stat. 627.736) and $10,000 of Property Damage Liability (Fla. Stat. 324.022).

Florida does not require most private passenger drivers to carry Bodily Injury Liability at all. That is worth sitting with: if another driver injures you, there may be no bodily injury coverage on their policy to collect from. It is why we raise uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage on nearly every auto quote, and why $10,000 of property damage goes very little distance against a newer vehicle.

You may have read that Florida repealed no-fault and moved to a 25/50/10 framework. It did not. Bills proposing that change were filed in 2025 and died in committee, so PIP remains a required coverage. If a quote you received elsewhere is built on the other assumption, ask about it. Our Florida auto insurance guide walks through each coverage in more detail.

If you need an SR-22 or FR-44 filing

Mention it on the form, because it changes which companies can help and how quickly. Neither one is a type of insurance — both are filings your insurer submits to the state to prove financial responsibility.

An SR-22 is generally tied to a lapse or a violation, and the associated financial responsibility limits under Fla. Stat. 324.021(7) are $10,000 per person and $20,000 per accident for bodily injury, plus $10,000 property damage. An FR-44 follows certain DUI convictions and requires substantially higher limits — $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident and $50,000 property damage, carried for a minimum of three years under Fla. Stat. 324.023. Confusing the two is expensive, because the bodily injury requirement differs by a factor of ten.

Questions people ask before sending the form

Yes. Requesting a quote costs nothing and places you under no obligation. We are paid by the insurance company when a policy is written, not by you for the quote.

No. Nothing is bound until you tell us to proceed and make a payment. You are free to review what we send, ask questions, compare it against what you have now, and decide later or not at all.

The form itself takes a couple of minutes. Turnaround on the actual quote depends on the coverage and the information you provide — a straightforward auto policy is quick, while commercial coverage or a property with an older roof may need underwriting review or an inspection. We will tell you what a realistic timeline looks like when we contact you rather than promise a number up front.

Yes, and you should tell us about it. Insurers weigh violations, claims and prior insurance history differently from one another, so a rate from one company does not predict what another will offer. Giving us an accurate history means the quote you receive resembles the price you will actually pay, instead of changing after underwriting.

We can still quote. The declarations page simply makes the comparison apples to apples, because it shows the limits and deductibles you carry today. Without it we may quote a common set of limits and then adjust once we see what you actually have.

Not to give you a quote. Some insurers use credit-based insurance scoring in Florida at the point of application, which is a separate step you would agree to explicitly. Ask us and we will tell you what a given company requires before anything is submitted.

We use it to prepare your quote and to contact you about it. See our Privacy Policy for the specifics on how information is handled.

Those are our home service areas, but we work with customers throughout Miami-Dade County and South Florida. If you are outside that area, ask — availability depends on the line of coverage and the carriers appointed for it.
